Shreeya’s Family Volunteer for Peace Story, Nepal FVP Story 2021.
Shreeya is from Nepal. Her family is loving and kind, and recently they extended their kindness and love to the families in their neighborhood. With her father and mother, Shreeya shared food with families of daily wage earners and labourers. COVID19 has made it very difficult for daily wage workers to provide for their families.
The family went to the La Dhoka Nari Ghar where they donated food for 35 families and 124 people. Shreeya felt honored to help people who needed the most as part of the family’s service program.
On reflecting about their project, the family felt grateful and blessed. “Hunger is the most prominent in this situation. Therefore, we help people with the foods for at least a month.”, said Shreeya as she shared her Family Volunteers for Peace (FVP) story.
Mom was proud that her daughter is inheriting her tradition of giving back to the community. “We feel grateful to help our fellow citizens who were suffering from this pandemic.”
Dad was also grateful for the opportunity and commented that the initiative was very good.
Shreeya reflected that “No amount is too little, no amount is enough right now. It is all about being safe, doing what is responsible and what is right.”
