Hope’s father was a man of charities. Her mother was a pastor. She believes the seeds of her dedication to the children and mothers of the world were planted by her parents.
Today Hope supports orphans and mothers through Petals of Hope International which provides school fees for children in need. But Hope’s service started when she was 17, when she would donate her pocket money to support orphans.
Eventually she started gathering funds, shoes, clothes and even building supplies from friends, churches and local businesses. From these funds they would pay for student fees and from the family garden they would put food on the table for the children.
Today Petals of Hope International supports orphans and children in the local community.
Benon and Brian are two of the first beneficiaries. Today they are pursuing their education while helping Hope with her fashion line.
Hope continues to expand her service work with her mother, who is now 78 years old. Hope’s dream is to build quality schools to combat ignorance and provide everyone access to education and create a Center of Excellence where all mothers will have a home, church, work and a school for all her children. She feels deeply for abused women, neglected mothers, and their children.
She dedicates her volunteering to her mother and all mothers in the world who serve as examples. “It is a gesture of love and unity shaming selfishness,”. says Hope.
