Global Peace Women (GPW) Philippines, in collaboration with Global Peace Foundation Philippines, held an event to empower 25 young mothers from Buklod Pangarap Village in Sitio Balayong Calahan Cardona Rizal. During the women empowerment program which took place in Septermber 2023 under the theme "Empowering Women, Nurturing Values: Family First!", the GPW Philipines Vice President Ms. Ching Chanyunco shared an inspirational message with the participants emphasizing the crucial role of mothers in shaping the values of children as well as family cultures. She also discussed the importance of ‘Peace Begins in the Home’. She encouraged participants to build harmonious relationships between husbands and wives to balance peace and love within the family. The group, among them Sunshine Family Volunteers Cardona and Buklod Pangarap Village Association Officers, distributed groceries, blankets, and other household necessities to the attendees.
