Getting back to school after a long period of closure has had its challenges for children, families, and teachers. Recently, in the Philippines, students have been encouraged to get vaccinated through the National Vaccination Day Campaign, a pediatric vaccination roll out against COVID-19 targeted children from 5 to 11 years old. With the theme ‘Get Vaccinated to Protect Your Family’, the efforts provided health screenings and vaccinations.
Supporting the national campaign, ‘Resbankuna for Kids’, GPW Philippines and local partners, including the Inner Wheel Club, Rotary, and Del Monte, have stepped in to make vaccinations a little more fun for the students. Through the month of March, they provided giveaways, snacks, and friendly smiles to greet families and students at vaccination sites in Cardona Rizal.
Among the young volunteers were the Mira kids and the Subida Sisters, giving their time to help make the experience fun.
GPW Philippines believes in supporting campaign, which contributes to healthy individuals and families. It hopes to continue its efforts through various programs and initiatives. To know more about the Philippines Chapter activities, please visit
