The United Nations affirms that Disability inclusion is an essential condition for up holding human rights, sustainable development, and peace and security, and hence central to the promise of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The commitment to realising the rights of persons with disabilities is not only a matter of justice but an investment in a common future.
Aligning to the commitment, in May 2021, GPW Tanzania with GPW Foundation conducted a workshop for the inclusion of persons with disabilities in daily activities. Light for the World International facilitated the program as they highlighted the importance of creating an engaging environment for all. Inclusion, Respect and Appreciation of persons with disabilities were at the heart of the program.
The program brought various stakeholders together to contribute to breaking down barriers to the exclusion of people with disabilities. It aimed to create an environment for better engagement, appreciation of their potential and gain mutual understanding.
As the second part of the Training for Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities, GPW Tanzania has continued its support to create a better and peaceful world for persons with disability. GPW Tanzania is committed to bringing peace and supporting initiatives vital for positive transformation.
