Major Cooperation Agreement for Peace in Central America Endorsed by Nobel Laureate Rigoberta Menchú and Former Guatemalan President Vinicio Cerezo

Nobel Laureate Rigoberta Menchú and former Guatemalan President Vinicio Cerezo endorsed a historic cooperation agreement for peace in Central America. The Esquipulas Foundation and the Rigoberta Menchú Tum Foundation, along with other organizations, aim to promote democracy, social development, and governance in the region. The agreement emphasizes educational initiatives, civic engagement, and environmental conservation, particularly benefiting youth and women. This collaboration seeks to foster regional integration, sustainable development, and lasting peace through joint projects and coordinated efforts​. Olinda Salguero, President of the Esquipulas Foundation and Representative of Global Peace Foundation for Central America, and Ángel Francisco Canil Grave, Vice-President of the Rigoberta Menchú Tum Foundation, played pivotal roles in facilitating this agreement. It aims to promote democracy, social development, and governance throughout Central America, focusing on educational initiatives and civic engagement, particularly targeting youth and women.
