Martin Luther King, Jr. once said, "Everybody can be great because everybody can serve." Serving humanity allows us to make a difference in the lives of others.

On November 12, 2022, Global Peace Women Philippines and Inner Wheel Club of Central Ortigas D380 organized Humanitarian Service to the IP Community in Brgy Sta. Inez Tanay, Rizal. The project titled "Hatid Tulong sa mga Kapatid na Katutubo" was carried out in partnership with different In

ner Wheel Clubs, Rotary Clubs, and other Civic Organizations in the community.

The IP Community was part of the 4 million people affected by Super Typhoon Paeng, the 16th tropical cyclone to hit the Philippine area. The heavy rains and strong winds had brought about devastation and loss of lives and property. Activities during the event included; planting fruit-bearing trees and conducting a demonstration for the children who were present on how to maintain hygiene through handwashing and feeding the people present.

In addition, a free medical camp was conducted whereby participants benefited from receiving dental services, mother and child care, Free Vitamins for all ages, contraceptives, and free IUD arm implants. The participants also received medicines and were groomed by receiving a free haircut. They also received hygiene kits, slippers, free school supplies, and soap packs. In the end, 300 relief food packs were distributed together with other relief goods like clothes.

The project assisted hundreds of families to cope with the losses they experienced occasioned by Super Typhoon Paeng. GPW Philippines has been engaging Service-minded women to strengthen social connections across the islands
