In times of great need, it is the measure of our generosity and kindness that defines us as a society. As Helen Keller once said, 'Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.' On April 14, 2024, Global Peace Women Philippines (GPW) joined hands with The Global Peace Foundation Philippines, GPW Sunshine Family Volunteers, and the Inner Wheel Clubs of Central Ortigas, Marikina, and Marikina Central, YWCA FFPI Chapters, the National Council of Women of the Philippines - NCWP, Al-Moya Water Refilling Station, among other individuals to support 27 families affected by a recent house fire that occurred in looc Cardona Rizal, Philippines. The volunteers delivered basic amenities to the affected families, exemplifying a spirit of unity and compassion. Their efforts are a reminder to us that supporting the less fortunate is not just a duty, but a privilege. Let us continue to stand together, uplift one another, and spread the light of hope in our communities.
