Introduction
Welcome to the Korean Dream Family Challenge!
This initiative is part of our celebration of the International Day of Peace and our contribution to the Korean Dream 10 Million Campaign.
The Korean Dream 10 Million Campaign is 4-year campaign to raise 10 million Korean Dreamers as part of a growing Korean-led, internationally supported grassroots movement advancing the “Korean Dream,” a vision for a unified Korea, benefiting the world.
Through family volunteering, education, art, and a social awareness campaign, we aim to bring families and communities together to contribute to a peaceful world.
Understanding The “KOREAN DREAM” and its global impact
- The division of Korea has been a longstanding source of tension affecting not just the Korean Peninsula but also global stability.
- The “Korean Dream” is a vision for a free, unified, and prosperous nation that brings good to the world. Koreans have a shared heritage that goes back over 5,000 years. The "Korean Dream" is based on this long heritage, particularly the ancient Korean ethic of Hongik Ingan. Hongik Ingan teaches about humanity’s interconnectedness and the task of the Korean people to "live for the greater good of humanity."
- For families worldwide, a peaceful Korea would be a model of peacebulding, and a way to resolve global conflicts that could impact everyone. By embracing the “Korean Dream,” we contribute to a safer and more harmonious world for future generations, encouraging peace and unity not only on the Korean Peninsula but across the globe.
